TextMap is a search engine for
entities: the important (and not so important)people, places,
and things in the news. Our news analysis system automatically
identifies and monitors these entities, and identifies meaningful
relationships between them.
TextMap analyzes both the
temporal and geographical distribution of news entities. We
literally monitor the state-of-the-world through our analysis
of roughly 1000 domestic and international news sources every
day.
TextMap uses natural
language processing techniques to track entity references in
news sources, and a variety of statistical techniques to
analyze the relationships between them.
