TextMap is a research project in natural language processing and statistical analysis being led by Prof. Steven Skiena in the Computer Science Department at Stony Brook University.

The TextMap project seeks to extract well-defined classes of facts and relations from curated text sources. We use natural language processing techniques to identify references to interesting people, places, and things and then study the juxtapositions between them.

TextMap is an academic research project, not a commercial operation. TextMap technology is available for licensing through the Research Foundation at Stony Brook University.
